Yoga for Balance
Romana’s yoga classes are unique and fun.
She prides herself on strong lines, balancing holds and strengthening vinyasa-like yoga.
Romana teaches yoga online on Wednesdays at 8 am via zoom, Elevate in Wapping Warf Saturdays at 11:30 in person and in Victoria Park, Bedminster on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
What type of Yoga?
The yoga that Romana teaches is grounding, pushes the boundaries of what is possible as well as being regenerating and relaxing.
Romana likes to incorporate pranayama (breath practice) to begin the class, she then brings in some warm up flows and movements, subsequently building on the flow and bringing the intensity up, usually this part is characterised by strong holds, balancing poses and inversions of varying levels, her approach to teaching is kind and open to the group that is in front of her. No need to push through any pain or get into asanasas (postures) that don’t feel good that day. The students take what they need. Romana creates a non judgemental space where everyone is free to be themselves.
We finish every class with Shavasana, a final resting pose to integrate the practice.

Yoga in the park will ground you in every way possible. The trees above and the ground below act as a container for a magical practice. The highlight, for many yogis, is the sound of the leaves swishing in Shavasana. We’ve particularly enjoyed the little doggies coming over to say hi and wishing they could join our flow 🐕

No matter your level, no matter how fit you may or may not feel, you are welcome in this space that Romana holds so dear. We have lovely regulars attending, as well as newbies every week! The group is kind and open and we welcome everyone with no judgement, just calming and joyful vibes ❤️

Romana’s mother Judy is a yoga teacher and showed her the ropes from a very young age. Yoga has transformed Romana’s life and she is so grateful she has found this practice and can share it in so many spaces across Bristol and online.
